Me-byo improvement and yoga therapy

Me-byo improvement promoted by Kanagawa Prefecture

The state of the human body cannot be clearly distinguished from "health up to this point and illness from here". And this state of continuously changing between health and disease is called "me-byo."
For example, you may not be aware of it, but your test values are gradually deteriorating, or you may feel unwell, but tests show no abnormalities.

On March 29, 2017, Kanagawa Prefecture announced the “Kanagawa Me-byo Improvement Declaration” to extend healthy life expectancy. (*)

Yoga Therapist Association Kanagawa is registered as a cooperating organization of the prefecture, and volunteers teach yoga therapy at prefectural events aimed at improving pre-illness. Thank you for your cooperation.

Efforts to improve pre-symptomatic disease through yoga therapy

In Kanagawa Prefecture, we are working on measures to improve ME-BYO based on three pillars: food, exercise, and social participation. Yoga therapy can contribute to the improvement of pre-symptomatic disease from the aspect of "exercise" through asanas and breathing techniques that anyone can do. In addition, yoga therapy classes and circles are contributing to the improvement of pre-symptomatic disease from the aspect of "social participation."
