Hakone, an ancient land
Sengokuhara is a tourist spot in Hakone known for its pampas grass and Sengokuhara Onsen. This area, which has been selected as one of the "Top 50 scenic spots in Kanagawa" and "Top 100 flower spots in Kanagawa", has plenty of accommodation facilities.
From Sengokuhara, take the bus and ropeway to Owakudani. It is a spectacular volcanic smoke! After visiting Owakudani Enmei Jizoson, known as a power spot, try the famous black egg.
Hakone Shrine on the banks of Lake Ashi is a shrine surrounded by wonderful nature. Both sides of the approach are lined with old cedar trees that are said to be 600 to 800 years old. The contrast with the torii gate and main shrine makes you feel solemn.
