Yokohama Chinatown

Japan's largest Chinatown with over 150 years of history

It is the largest Chinatown in Japan and has a history of over 150 years. There are 10 gates in Chinatown. East: Chaoyang Gate guarded by a blue dragon, West: Enhei Gate guarded by a white tiger, South: Suzaku Gate guarded by Suzaku, North: Genbu Gate guarded by Genbu. It's fun to walk around looking at the gates, each with its own characteristics.

In addition, there are more than 500 stores such as Chinese restaurants, souvenir shops, and general stores on many streets and alleys such as Chinatown Boulevard, Kanteibyo Street, and Market Street. It's fun to walk around looking at various shops and find your favorite!

In addition, there are many recommended spots nearby, such as Yamashita Park, Yokohama Stadium, and Minato-no-Mieruoka Park.

After filling both your stomach and heart in Chinatown, why not stretch your legs a little?

How to access by train

When using JR from the direction of Tokyo/Shinagawa, it is convenient to get off at Ishikawacho or Kannai Station. You will arrive at Chinatown in 5-7 minutes on foot.

If you use the Tokyu Toyoko Line from Shibuya, it would be a good idea to use the Minatomirai Line's Motomachi-Chukagai Station directly. Chinatown is a 1-minute walk away.
